Recently, the lawyer team led by Lin Yuece from our firm handled a case involving a minor suspected of fraud, successfully securing bail at the review and approval stage for arrest by the procuratorate. The client, Pan Mou (born in 2007 and under 18 years old at the time of the incident), was detained by the public security authorities and submitted for approval of arrest on suspicion of fraud following a payment dispute.

During the investigation phase, the handling lawyers made multiple visits to the detention center to meet with the client. They patiently listened, provided meticulous guidance, alleviated the client’s anxiety, and stabilized their mental state. Simultaneously, they verified case details one by one and clarified the factual context, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent defense.

The lawyers astutely pointed out that the case was essentially a private lending dispute and that the client lacked the subjective intent for fraud. Considering the client’s status as a minor, first-time offender, full restitution with victim forgiveness, and lack of social danger, the lawyers applied for bail multiple times to the public security authorities without success. Once the case entered the procuratorate’s review and approval stage for arrest, the team swiftly submitted an Application for Bail and a Legal Opinion Against Arrest, repeatedly communicating their defense views and advocating strongly against approval of arrest.

Ultimately, the procuratorial organs adopted the defense opinions and decided not to approve the arrest. The client was successfully released on bail and regained freedom.

Upon conclusion of the case, the client's family specially presented a commendation banner to express their high recognition and sincere gratitude for the lawyers' professionalism, efficiency, dedication, and meticulousness.
